We had a very fun summer. I think we did more this summer than any previous ones. I'm not aure why I was so bent on doing so much. Maybe because I knew once school started it would be hard to get me to leave the house with 5 kids in tow. We went to the farmpark, the science center, the swimming pool, numerous birthday parties (including 3 of our own), vacation bible school (pandamania) and fireworks---among many other things.

We started our school year on August 1. Austin is in 8th grade this year, Sam (officially) and Sophie (unofficially) are doing kindergarten. Maggie is picking up what she can here and there. We've also finally named our school: G.E.M. Academy-- GEM stands for Going the Extra Mile. Our "slogan" is "Going the extra mile to raise disciples of Christ". My Austin (13) came up with it all on his own :) . I will write a post when I have more time about our curriculum. Austin's is very ecclectic. The littles are doing MFW kindergarten and Saxon math. I will leave you with some pics....and a promise not to stay away so long this time. ;)
